STEMCO, an EnPro Industries company, announced earlier in the year that it has formed a strategic alliance with Duroline SA, a Vipal SA partner.  The STEMCO Duroline alliance will provide brake linings to the commercial vehicle market in North America.  Effective immediately, STEMCO Duroline announces the launch of its high performance friction material utilizing the proprietary “Wave Process” which delivers superior stopping performance, longer life, reduced noise and reduced drum wear.

STEMCO Duroline offers a full range of friction products to meet all types of application needs. The new product offering includes friction for standard, premium and specialty applications rated from 20,000 to 29,000 pounds.   New families of friction include Horizon SP(TM) designed for on-highway customers looking for a value based product, Crest XL(TM) for extra life in demanding highway applications and Vista HP(TM) a high performance option for more demanding applications.  Completing the product line on the high end is the Ultra Peak(TM) family.  Offering extraordinary life by utilizing the next generation in film transfer technology is Ultra Peak(TM).  A variation of this product specifically designed for bus, refuse and transit applications is UltraPeak(TM) BRT.  Combination block designed for severe, heavy hauling applications rounds out the product line with UltraPeak(TM) HH.

STEMCO Duroline maintains a strong commercial vehicle focus, superior product technology and an outstanding reputation for training and customer support.  STEMCO’s 45 member fleet-based technical sales team is available to assist customers with the repair and selection of friction products appropriate to their needs. The sales team will provide on-site foundation brake training to maximize both the life of friction material and vehicle safety.

“This alliance combines Duroline’s great product with STEMCO’s precision training to improve the braking performance of customers’ equipment while lowering their total operating costs,” said Jon Cox, STEMCO president.  ”We are very excited to launch high performance friction to the heavy duty market in North America.”
