Dear Valued Customers,
As the global effect of coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, I thought it was important to share a few things with our customer base and the industry. Safety is STEMCO’s number one priority, and we are taking all necessary health and safety precautions in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and national health officials. We have also implemented critical guidelines and procedures to keep our customers, employees, their families and our communities safe.
At the same time, we recognize how truly vital it is for everyone to be able to count on the trucking industry to deliver food, medicine and other essential goods. Trucking is one of the most important global industries, and according to the American Trucking Association (ATA) over 71% of all US freight is hauled by truck. In addition, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) designates the transportation industry as a “critical infrastructure” sector of the economy.
While STEMCO has implemented a work from home policy wherever possible and is practicing social distancing, our factories continue to operate, and due to our limited dependence on imported goods, our supply chain has no current gaps.
The tremendous effort of our fleet and distributor customers, supply chain partners, and other industry manufacturers to keep trucks on the road has been extremely impressive. The pandemic will take all of us working together to overcome it, and we want you to know we are doing our absolute best to support you during this unprecedented time.
Sincerely,
Eric Vaillancourt
President
